Fuck, I for got all about this...

Sorry for the 5 of you check this once a month hoping for updates.  I really have no excuse so lets move forward.  Riding season is basically upon us, yet the rain keeps me from even trying to bring my scooter home.  But the wettest month is almost over so here are some things that we have coming up.

This upcoming Wednesday (5/25/11) we will will be meeting at The Streets of London Pub on Colfax (CLICK) .  Beedo managed to find a guy that some of you should know, Destro/Jeff who works there and scored us 25 free drink tickets.  So were gonna try something different and meet there.  I say even if it's raining we need to show up, so plan accordingly, I'll need a ride or can bus it if I can get a ride home.  Lets try and keep 'youknowwho' out of the loop on this so I'm simply posting about a SuperSecretDMBKWednesday, with no real info.

Bu5k is in town on 5/26/11, so hopefully he has something in the works.  If not Bu5k hit me up!

TinyTown ride will be done on a Sunday in June.  Not sure which one yet, but I'm thinking the middle of June.  Any suggestions?

DMBK will be partially donating a scooter at this year's Little Somethin Somethin.  RivalGang is willing to throw some money towards the purchase of a scooter and we can handle the rest.  I would appreciate any help I can get from you guys to buy the scooter, but have no problem covering the purchase cost myself.  I would though encourage everyone to think about some way that they could contribute in making the scooter DMBK, RivalGang and giveaway worthy.  Paint, washers and/or bolts, wiring work, grips, seat, tools, spare parts, fluids, manuals or anything that would give it that extra touch would be appreciated since it would be a DMBK donation.  Basically I want it to be something that anyone of us would ride, plus you can try and win it.  Hit me up if you would like any info and I will post up after the scooter is in my possession.

I'll try and be better about posting more consistently, we've got someone I need to welcome, more rap videos to post as well as a E's scooter build which I only plan on posting here.  Stay semi-posted!

Ahhh more rap to listen to...

I've put Tyler up here before.  New shit, I don't expect most of you to like it.  He'll be on Jimmy Fallon tonight with some of OFWGKTA in a attempt to scare white America.  I won't get to see that cuz I'll be at SOB drinking cuz it's Wednesday, but hey set your DVR, this guy with the Roots backing band will be something to watch!

DMBK in Scoot Magazine

Props to Xtra and Peezy for the Scoot photos!  My mom is pretty psyched too, her car is now in a magazine!

Many thanks to RivalGang for doing the Rally that isn't a Rally that got into the Rally section of Scoot!  Good Review by John Tonic too, most of you guys met him at the ride, make sure you check his site out: high desert scooterist and lets return the favor and make sure we get up there for a ride this year.

WAN is at it again!

Some of you may have already seen this on TR but why not repost this here as well.  Wan, the Korean Homie who passed through Denver in 2008 is riding his scooter through Australia, fighting off Wombats, 'Roos and Brown Snakes.  Still drinking beer and having the best outlook on life a person could probably have.  Follow his new blog at:

Video Idea...

So a few of us have been talking about making a video of some past or future rides. There are enough cameras and talented people floating around in DMBK to actually make this happen. While I have many ideas still floating around in my head, I saw this video and knew instantly that this was the route to follow. This is how the DMBK video should look.  What do you guys think?

Welcome Ivanski the Russian

ДОБРО ПОЖАЛОВАТЬ ДОМ

DIRTY MAN BOY KREW

HALF PINTS OF LOVE 3% / HOOCH FOR THE HOMELESS

I'm all about this.  The packing of hooch will be held at Russ & Sarah 's house this Wednesday (12-15-10) with deliveries happening this upcoming Saturday (12-18-10).  Get a hold of me in the many various ways available and I will hook-up the address.  I'm not a fan of posting peoples home address on the interwebs, but it is in Westminister.

I'll also have a car for the evening so anyone who wants to ride up with E and I should hit me up.

I'll have more information about the actual deliveries after wednesday night so check back soon.  Same DMBK time, same DMBK place.

FIGHT OR SHUT THE FUCK UP!

All this shit talking from both sides is pathetic. Fight or shut the fuck up. You guys can do it at my shop, I have gloves if you want, or go bare knuckles. We can even take bets so the winner can take some money home. You look like a bunch of girls with your forum fighting.

So man up, set a time and place, and lets make this happen, or shut the fuck up!

I Kinda Remember...

Fawk, OK, where to start?

Fucking Hawaiian 'Nomad Division' Party.  First off I want to apologize for the seating arrangements for Pho, I had no idea that many people would show up for a noodle bowl.  But DMBK rolls hard, the motherfuckers from Suba came by, Tai, Heath and myself convinced the ladies to come out, plus all the usual suspects.  Big Steve (the nicest guy in Denver) even braved the weather and rode his scoot.  Props to all you bastards who came out.

Safety meetings first and we were actually at Pho right on time (7:30) even though most everyone else was early (for once?).  The big table had shitty service while we had a waitress who just did what we told her to do, tried to give us a extra order of wontons and laughed at all of Los's jokes. I didn't get the noodle bowl I ordered but whatever.  My appetizers were great, though Peezy ate the last dumpling.  Who gives a shit when beers are that cheap?

Out of Pho and headed to Don's mixed drinks right down the street.  We got down to the real business of heavy drinking, smoking, shit-talking, wearing a berkah and the usual nonsense  That's really the last thing I totally remember.  I kinda remember talking to some chick outside when I snuck off to burn one.  I also kinda remember her telling Big Steve that he would be OK to ride without a taillight, "Nah yo signals work, yo good.  Besides what kind of guy rides a scooter."  I kinda remember both of us looking at each other with aspirations of kicking her in the C**t but alas neither took the opportunity at least not that I remember.  I kinda remember the gaggle of drunk girls rolled out of the bar, trying to spit their game to whoever got in front of them..  I kinda remember being chastised for taking to the stupid drunk girl by E which was funny only because she didn't here me telling her to kick rocks.

I should of been taking pictures of all of this, but somethings are better left as just memories.

Saturday was Erico's annual Toys for Tots ride benefiting the Ronald McDonald house.  Paul, Patrick and myself got there right as the ride was about to leave so we didn' get any of the raffles tickets, I was just glad we made the ride.  Especially since Brian rode all the way from Evergreen again, you and Beto would have made a cute couple!  This ride normally has a pretty good turn out, but this year (out of fear of the weather/cold and maybe some people have the same feelings I am having now) it was only about 30-40 scoots including the big bikes who were stationing at some (why not all?) turns.  I was aware of the usual 'old people' crowd that goes on this ride but it's for a good cause and people usually ride pretty smart.

Hindsight is 20/20.

Without getting into the details, people were not riding safely IMHO, people were not riding in any kind of formation.  Two people went down as the result of one dummy who (luckily) was one of those who fell.  How you make a Mp3 which is a fucking 3-WHEELED SCOOTER fall over I will never ever know.  But that guy did it.  The best riding people that day were DMBK (ORLLY) and Rival Gang.  Those darn A.S.S. fuckers (that is not a reference to S.Q.R.E.A.M. or any ones sexual preferences, rather to the Aurora Scooter Society) need some serious group riding lessons.  Not only in safety and basic knowledge but also in how to keep a group together.  And that dude wondered why we never rode with them.

So we did the usual deal, hung out for the food and warm drinks.  I bought a 25cent pin for five dollars and it was time to go.  The Nun wanted to go to the bar but I really think I was still drunk from the night before so everyone just said their goodbyes and went home.  Patrick and I as well as the other Paul (He won the scooter at 'little somethin' somethin', which now has a burrito bag on the seat) got stuck in Broadway going down to one lane under I-25 and to make matters worse the god damn state patrol was right fucking in front of us.  Stuck, for a good 15 minutes.  Finally we made it through that and it was a straight shot home.

While I was riding home I did come to the conclusion that we have been riding long enough and can get a big enough ride together that we should do our own donation ride.  No more dealing with the old crowd or filling out waiver's.  Just a fucking ride for a fucking good cause.  So any of you guys who have some ideas let's throw them out and get thinking about this.  I really like what RivalGang is doing with the half-pints of love so I will be talking to them at some point.

Update coming at some point...

Sorry, it's been a crazy two weeks.  But until I can YAK about all of it, here are my lessons learned:

Always make reservations.
There are extremely cute girls at punk shows.
Cute girls at punk shows won't buy you beer.
Watch how much you drink.
Carlos is not married, so don't say he is.  My bad Los...
Stickers go extremely quick.
I will NEVER attend the toys for tots ride again, we WILL do our own donation ride.
Riders Rides, Flakers (say they are gonna ride and then don't) Flake.
